The publishers of The IT Manager’s Guide to Continuous Delivery offer seven reasons to read The IT Manager’s Guide to Continuous Delivery

This post amounts to a plug of a plug of a repository of information which, obviously, Aleph Infotinuum Services deems valuable.

A number of software shops have expressed interest in a recent dev-ops development (no pun intended) known as CD (Continuous Delivery). Business managers who embrace and understand CD are finding themselves in high demand.

Note the previous sentence. There is a difference, in CD as well as in all other endeavors or opportunities, between embracing something and understanding something. Just ask a typical fan of Bergman films.

Heck, even the number seven itself carries ancient and esoteric connotations (e.g. Bergman’s film The Seventh Seal). The term Continuous Delivery … does that strike anyone as being associated somehow with transubstantiation? Certainly, a software product getting the CD lifecycle treatment will at least seem to get born again & again with each release.

After reading this stream of consciousness post, perhaps those who need a more elementary overview of Continuous Delivery would do well to study a CD infographic. Competent managers of the eternal infotinuum always know when organizational understanding gels so they can leave all the introductions to the still-lagging competition.
